Mendalami bahasa Inggris itu gampang-gampang susah, tapi mau nggak mau kudu dipelajari. Bukan biar kelihatan pinter saat debat di Twitter, melainkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris kini sudah jadi syarat umum saat melamar pekerjaan atau melanjutkan jenjang pendidikan. Guna menegaskan adjektiva atau kata sifat, orang Indonesia hobi sekali membubuhkan kata ‘very’ di depan kata sifat yang dimaksud. Nggak salah, sih, lagi pula masyarakat Indonesia memang bukan penutur asli bahasa Inggris. Namun ketika sudah memasuki ranah akademis, hal ini hendaknya jadi perhatian kita.
Pasalnya, pemilihan diksi yang lebih tepat dalam bahasa Inggris turut mempengaruhi nilai ujian seseorang. Dalam tes IELTS misalnya, khususnya pada komponen tes speaking dan writing yang cenderung lebih subjektif ketimbang dua komponen lainnya karena melibatkan penilaian langsung oleh penguji. Oleh sebab itu, ada baiknya kalian mempelajari kata-kata pengganti ‘very’ dalam bahasa Inggris berikut ini. Tentu saja kata-kata pengganti ‘very’ ini bisa kalian gunakan saat berbicara atau menulis.
