Tapi, kalau sampean masih bekerja di retail jangan berharap banyak. Kans untuk mendapat work life balance bagi pekerja retail itu hanya mimpi: bisa terjadi, tapi hampir tidak mungkin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secara umum, pekerjaan di bidang retail pekerjaan yang berbasis pelayanan. Yang otomatis, servisnya harus sedia kapan saja. Pekerjaan di bidang retail, biasanya orientasinya pada target. Dan yang namanya target, ya kudu tercapai apa pun caranya. Mau kerja lebih dari 8 jam per hari ya mau bagaimana lagi, kudu mengejar target. Masalahnya adalah, usaha kerja lebih dari 8 jam ini kerap kali tidak diganjar dengan bayaran. Overtime dianggap biasa, bahkan kadang tidak dianggap sebagai usaha lebih.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sayangnya, usaha mengejar target ini kerap dibalut dengan kata \u201cloyalitas\u201d. Padahal ya, dua hal ini benar-benar jauh. Overtime, mau itu usaha untuk mengejar target, ya kudu dibayar, dan harusnya dibayar.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Paradigma pekerja retail yang perlu diubah<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paradigma loyalitas tanpa batas ini sangat meresahkan para pekerja retail. Mau protes mereka juga belum on target, jika keberatan sudah pasti atasan \u201cmempersilakan\u201d untuk resign. Sedihnya, kadang jika mencapai target, itu bukan dianggap prestasi, alias dianggap kewajaran, dan tidak berhak menuntut insentif. Tentu tidak semua, tapi ya nggak bisa tutup mata kalau ada yang kayak begini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selain lembur yang sering kali terabaikan, hari libur pekerja retail pun demikian, hari besar pun tidak menghentikan \u201dpecutan\u201d pekerja retail. Kalo mau cuti lebih dari 2 hari pun sudah pasti kerjaan menumpuk dan banyak PR. Semua yang saya utarakan ini jelas pengalaman saya dulu ketika bekerja di retail plat A yang itu tuh.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jika demikian kompleksnya problem yang diurus di dunia kerja para pekerja retail, lantas bagaimana dengan kehidupannya?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ya jelas kacau lah. Tak mungkin terakomodasi sepenuhnya karena meskipun kerjanya seberat itu, income ya cuma segitu-gitu aja. Jam kerja ora umum, penghasilannya juga ora umum. Ora umum menyedihkan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rasanya, pepatah \u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/No_pain,_no_gain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No Pain No Gain<\/a>\u201d tidak berlaku untuk para pekerja retail. Sebab mereka merasakan pain-nya doang, gain-nya nonexistent alias nggak ada. Menerobos batas normal jam kerja, bayaran lembur yang tidak sesuai dengan jam lemburnya, kalau menuntut dianggap nggak loyal. Sulit? Jelas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mungkin, pekerja retail perlu memikirkan lagi apa itu work life balance, atau kalau perlu, lupakan sekalian. Soalnya, bisa membebani pikiran kalau tidak tercapai. Pun melihat kerjanya seperti ini, kayaknya sih nggak mungkin tercapai.
